Leanable process improvement Terms of Service.
These terms explain how the Leanable process improvement service is provided, what you can expect from the platform, and the responsibilities that apply when you create an account, run an engagement or use a delivered report.
Terms for the Leanable process improvement service
Last updated: 1 May 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Leanable (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you (“you”, “the Client”) and Changeable (“we”, “us”, “Leanable”).
2. Leanable process improvement service
Leanable is an AI-assisted process improvement platform. The Leanable process improvement service facilitates structured stakeholder interviews, current-state analysis, opportunity identification, future-state design, automation assessment and report generation using artificial intelligence and established business analysis frameworks including Lean, BABOK, BPM CBOK and ADKAR. For a practical explanation of the eight-phase engagement flow and four human approval gates, see how Leanable works.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and have the authority to bind your organisation to these terms. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
4. Accounts and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must enable two-factor authentication if required by your account tier. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised use of your account. If you need help with access or account issues, use the Leanable support page.
5. Trial Period
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with access to Growth tier features, one process engagement and up to five stakeholders. No credit card is required to begin the trial. The trial does not automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you actively select a paid plan. See the Leanable pricing page for current plan information.
6. Subscription and Payment
Subscription fees are charged in New Zealand dollars (NZD) inclusive of GST where applicable. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. Overage purchases are non-refundable.
7. Process Definition
One Leanable process improvement engagement covers one specific, named workflow with a clear start and end point. A process is not a department, a broad business function or multiple unrelated workflows. We reserve the right to determine whether a submitted process meets this definition. If a submission does not qualify as one process, we will contact you to clarify scope before proceeding. The Who it is for page gives examples of suitable workflows.
8. Deliverables and Turnaround
We aim to deliver completed reports within the turnaround target shown for the selected plan or engagement. These timeframes are targets, not guarantees. Delivery depends on complete process information, document quality, stakeholder interview completion, timely responses at human approval gates and the complexity of the engagement. We are not liable for delays caused by incomplete information or stakeholder non-participation.
9. Intellectual Property
All reports, analyses, and outputs generated through the Service are owned by you. You grant us a limited licence to use anonymised, aggregated engagement data to improve the Service. We retain ownership of the Leanable platform, methodology, prompts, and software. You may not reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the Service or its outputs as a competing product without our written consent.
10. Acceptable Use
You must not use the Service to process information you do not have the right to share. You must not submit false, misleading, or deliberately incomplete information. You must not attempt to circumvent the Service’s security, access controls, or usage limits. You must not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
11. AI-Generated Content
Leanable uses artificial intelligence to facilitate interviews, analyse transcripts and prepare draft outputs. The Leanable process improvement methodology includes four human approval gates, and completed deliverables are reviewed by a senior business analyst before delivery. Outputs are advisory only and do not constitute legal, financial, employment, privacy, cybersecurity or other professional advice. You are responsible for evaluating recommendations before implementation. We do not guarantee that AI-generated analysis will be complete or error-free. See our Ethical AI page for more information about our responsible AI approach.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude rights that cannot be excluded under applicable New Zealand law, including where relevant the Consumer Guarantees Act.
13. Confidentiality
We treat all engagement data as confidential. We do not sell, share, or disclose your data to third parties except as required to deliver the Service, such as AI processing and email delivery, or as required by law. See our Privacy Policy and Data Handling Statement for full details. The Office of the Privacy Commissioner provides further information about New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020 information privacy principles.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, fail to pay, or engage in behaviour that harms the Service or other users. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data is retained for 90 days then deleted unless you request earlier deletion.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
16. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts. New Zealand contract law includes the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017.
